Chicken Curry with Coconut Milk

Moreover, it comes in a wide variety of designs.

The unsweetened variety is my go-to for coffee, and coconut cream gives my sauces that perfect velvety texture we all love.

Coconut milk is a tasty and healthy alternative to regular milk for anyone, not just those who are lactose intolerant or vegan.

It’s a fantastic substitute for almond milk for people who are allergic to almonds.

In this collection of 30 coconut milk recipes, I am confident that you will find at least a few delicious options with which to please your vegan friends or satisfy your own cravings for dairy-free food.

([[1]]) A Recipe for Homemade Coconut Milk

The reality is that non-dairy milk costs more than regular milk.

On the other hand, did you know that you can make the vast majority of them on your own at a much lower cost?

The oat milk I’ve been making at home tastes exactly the same as the commercial variety.

You can use sweetened shredded coconut in place of the unsweetened called for in the recipe, and a good blender is all you need to make this coconut milk.

Blend the coconut and water until smooth and thick. Remove any lumps from the mixture by straining it.

[[2]] Silky Steel-Cut Oats Made with Coconut Milk

Making oats with water is fine; the resulting dish will be edible, if unremarkable in flavor. Still, nothing beats tucking into a bowl of warm, buttery oats on a chilly morning.

Coconut milk will provide the same luxurious mouthfeel and flavor as whole milk, with the added bonus of a subtle tropical tang.

While using a slow cooker will yield excellent results in terms of texture, it will take a bit more time to prepare. To prepare, all you need is 20 minutes and an Instant Pot.

Coconut Flour Pancakes with Bananas and Syrup

[[3]] Pancakes made with coconut flour and milk

Both coconut flour and coconut milk are naturally gluten- and dairy-free, making this a winning combination.

And you wouldn’t even know they weren’t the regular buttermilk variety.

The only real change is that you’ll need to use more eggs than usual because coconut flour absorbs more liquid.

These aren’t sickeningly sweet, and the recipe calls for only a small amount of maple syrup rather than a mountain of sugar.

My advice is to make the recipe exactly as written and then tweak it to your liking based on how they turn out.

This is the [[4]] Coconut Milk French Toast1.

This dish may be dairy-free, but it is not vegan because eggs are still used.

If you want your custard to be extra thick and creamy, use full-fat coconut milk or even coconut cream.

Coconut-Lime Dressing [[5]]

I prefer lighter fare as the weather warms up.

Hence, I adore this noodle salad topped with a cool and luscious coconut-lime dressing.

Simply combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth and emulsified, then serve over cooked noodles with shrimp (or chicken).

Coconut Curry: Ready in Just 30 Minutes!

Coconut milk is an essential ingredient in every curry I’ve ever made. It’s smooth, and the sweetness balances out the heat of the spices.

The abundance of vegetables in this dish makes it exceptionally flavorful and texturally varied.

You only need a couple of common spices like curry powder and cayenne pepper.

[[7]] Vegan Bread Pudding with Maple-Toasted Pecans

Although there are a few more steps involved in making vegan bread pudding, the end result is well worth it.

A typical French toast recipe calls for eggs, milk, sugar, and stale bread to be mixed together and poured over a baking sheet before being baked.

But in this case, you’ll whip up a vegan custard with some coconut milk and cornstarch, thicken it up, and then pour it over the bread before baking.

Doing so ensures a smooth custardy end result.

Coconut Milk Thai Iced Coffee [[8]]

Thai iced coffee, made with condensed milk, is extremely decadent.

Yes, this dish is just as decadent and smooth. All you have to do is create your own coconut milk concentrate. You need not worry; the process is extremely simple.

To thicken it, bring it to a boil, reduce heat, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.

The original recipe called for maple syrup, cardamom, and almond extract; however, brown sugar and vanilla were also used.

Soup with Coconut Curry and Whatever Else You Have in the Pantry [[9]]

As the name implies, this coconut curry soup can be prepared with virtually any ingredient.

The use of full-fat coconut milk adds a deliciously creamy texture, and the addition of pureed vegetables creates a nice, thick consistency. )

When it comes to the garnishes, fried tofu is a must.

Get the extra-firm variety and “press” out any liquid before using.

Putting the block on a plate and pressing down on it will do the trick. For the crispiest tofu ever, drain, pat dry, and cut into cubes.

(10) A Quick and Healthy Coconut Chickpea Curry

Incredible flavor is packed into this curry by the combination of garlic, onion, ginger, garam masala, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne, and tomatoes.

This recipe works much better with canned chickpeas, but if you want to save some money, you can use dried ones instead.

They only need an overnight soak and a good rinsing before being added to the stew.

Strawberry Pink Drink

[[11]] The Secret to Starbucks’ Pink Drinks

You’ve probably seen this pink drink all over your Instagram feed in the last few years. It was once a secret menu item (though I’ve never figured out how people know about those).

We can all see why this is the case. The cuteness of that thing is overwhelming.

This is not all, however. We can’t even handle how delicious this combination of strawberries, passion fruit, and coconut milk is.

This sugary snack is perfect for when I’ve had my fill of caffeine for the day.

Soup with Coconut Milk and Sweet Potatoes

The perfect balance of savory and sweet with a hint of heat makes this soup a real winner.

Naturally sweet from the inclusion of sweet potatoes, this dish is beautifully balanced by the savory spices.

The rich and creamy texture comes from the coconut milk, and the heat can be dialed down by reducing the amount of spices.

…Coconut Creamed Corn [[13]]

Creamed corn is a versatile side dish that goes well with a wide variety of meats.

The combination of garlic, lemongrass, ginger, and jalapeos in this dish makes it particularly delicious.

So that you don’t have to scrabble around for individual cloves of garlic, I recommend using these spice bags.

[[14]] Coconut Milk Vegan Alfredo Sauce

For this recipe, you’ll need three things in addition to coconut milk that you probably won’t have lying around the house.

To begin, tapioca starch is incorporated into the recipe so that the sauce is thickened and a cheesy flavor is added.

The next step is to add nutritional yeast, which not only adds a cheesy flavor to the sauce but also a wonderful umami flavor.

Finally, the addition of liquid smoke will make the cheese taste like it was smoked. Make sure you don’t overdo it The potency of this material is high.

[[15]] Coconut Milk and Broccoli Soup from Thailand

This soup is so alive and flavorful, it’s ridiculous. Plus, it’s completely organic.

You can avoid a completely smooth soup by removing a portion of the soup before blending it.

However, this is quite substantial, so finishing it with just a sprinkle of crispy shallots is probably sufficient.

It’s not your typical broccoli soup thanks to the addition of jalapeo, lime, lemongrass, and ginger.

On a cold day, however, it will do the job just as well.

Veggies with Coconut Curry Sauce in 30 Minutes!

While related to cabbage, collard greens are heartier and more darkly colored.

They taste somewhere between kale, chard, and spinach, all of which would work well in this dish.

The slight bitterness of the greens will be mitigated by the addition of the creaminess of the coconut milk.

The [[17]] Tofu in Malaysian Curry

Although “tofu” appears in the title, cauliflower is a suitable substitute. I did that, and it was scrumptious.

And if you don’t have the time, there’s no requirement that you make tofu balls.

Use regular extra-firm tofu and fry it (after pressing out the excess liquid, of course).

Coconut rice: [[18]] a tasty and nutritious meal

Raise your hand if you’ve ever had trouble getting rice just right.

Something always goes wrong, and I wind up with something that is either overly dry, overly mushy, or even burned.

Our problems with rice should be over if we follow this recipe.

Begin by rinsing the rice under cold running water until the water is largely clear. As a result, the outer starches and dirt are washed away.

The next step is to soak it for about 20 minutes before you cook it.

Since coconut milk does not fully absorb during cooking, you will need to use both water and coconut milk to finish your rice.

[[19]] Vegetables in a Thai Red Curry

This is so easy to make and so delicious; I have to make it once a week.

Even though I prefer homemade curry, I have no qualms about using curry paste when I’m in a hurry (or even when I’m not in a hurry). )

This goes great with the rice suggested up top, but you could also use noodles if you prefer.

(Twenty) Pumpkin Soup in Thai Style with Coconut Milk

Similar to how sweet potatoes and coconut milk pair well together, pumpkin and coconut milk are a natural fit.

This soup’s savory flavor comes from the combination of the pumpkin’s naturally savory flavor and the zesty notes of lemongrass and ginger.

Since my family enjoys spicy foods, I cooked the onions and garlic with a tablespoon of red curry paste.

It made everything glow with a lovely red hue and wonderful warmth.

Curried Lentils in a Creamy Coconut Sauce

For some reason, it wasn’t until I tried lentils in curry that I actually came to enjoy them. That completely changes the dynamics.

I knew they were healthy, but I never really cared for the way they tasted.

They become incredibly attractive and tender while cooking in curry, and they take on an extraordinary flavor from the sauce.

By using canned tomatoes, this dish only requires minimal attention while cooking.

After the onions have softened and the spices have toasted, all that’s left to do is give the mixture a good stir every so often to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Frosting Made of Coconut Butter and Sugar

Buttercream made with regular American butter isn’t my favorite thing.

Not being a huge fan of using a lot of butter in my baking, I almost always opt for a Swiss meringue or cream cheese frosting.

Coconut milk (or cream for extra richness and flavor) replaces butter in this recipe, which otherwise resembles traditional American buttercream.

Smooth as silk and easy on the pipes.

Additionally, it keeps its form beautifully, and the mild coconut flavor complements just about any flavor cake you might have.

A Smoothie Made with Coconut, Strawberries, and Bananas

My favorite flavor combination of all time is strawberry and banana. It’s nearly ideal and works wonderfully in frozen desserts, fruit drinks, and baked goods.

I like my smoothies thick and creamy, so I add milk (or ice cream if I’m feeling fancy) most of the time.

Coconut milk is a great dairy-free substitute.

The crushed ice is a requirement of this recipe, but I usually leave it out because I find it watered-down my smoothies.

Therefore, I either prepare the fruit by chopping it and freezing it, or I prepare coconut milk by freezing it in ice cube trays.

Mango-Coconut Pudding with a Thai Twist

Mangos are the best fruit there is. It’s delicious in both cake and tacos due to its sugary, sticky, soft, bright, and fresh nature.

I’ve made this recipe at least twice a week, every week, since I found it, and I still enjoy it.

Mango and coconut together make for a dessert that may be ideal.

Recipe for Disney Cruise Line’s Famous Coconut Rice Pudding (Release 25)

So, what sets this rice pudding apart from the rest?

For one thing, it’s chock-full of milk varieties: coconut, whole, sweetened condensed, and full-fat cream.

This dish certainly isn’t on the “healthy” side of the spectrum. And yet, it’s incredibly decadent, velvety, and enticing.

You don’t have to include the golden raisins, but I think they add a nice touch (especially if you soak them in rum first). )

This is a recipe for hot chocolate made with coconut milk.

Is it possible for us to collectively decide to stop purchasing cocoa? You know, the ones that are loaded with sugar but taste nothing like chocolate?

Why not spend the extra few minutes to make something better when it’s so simple to do so from scratch?

You can use any kind of milk you like, but the coconut milk gives the drink an extra richness that the almond milk doesn’t have.

Coconut Ice Cream [[27]]

Delicious, dairy-free, no-churn ice cream made with just four ingredients! Threatening behavior like this could be disastrous.

Simply combine all the ingredients in a blender and freeze in ice cube trays. After it has frozen, blitz it in a blender like you would banana ice cream.

You can consume it immediately after blending it, or store it in the freezer for later.

(Che) Chuoi Banana Tapioca

The banana, coconut milk, and tapioca pearls combine to make a dessert that is equally smooth, sugary, and chewy.

My advice is to make a small “test” batch of tapioca first if you’ve never cooked with it before.

Before throwing a bunch into the pot, test a small amount to see if they stick together or overcook.

Once you master it, this easy dessert is a refreshing change of pace on a warm summer evening when you’re craving something sweet but refreshing.

[[29]] Rich Popsicles of Coconut Milk and Assorted Berries

These stunning coconut and berry pops are the pinnacle of refreshing desserts for warm summer evenings.

You can mix the berries and coconut milk together to make a smooth drink, but I prefer them served separately because of the striking color contrast.

You can choose between a creamy finish and a fresh burst of tart berries.

Tres Leches Cake with Coconut [[30]]

Favorites like tres leches cake never go out of style. It’s deliciously rich in sugar and creaminess. Also, the moisture content is through the roof.

Coconut condensed milk can be substituted for regular milk if you want to emphasize the coconut flavor.

Even so, I think it has enough flavor thanks to the coconut milk and shredded coconut that was used.

You could also substitute whipped coconut cream for the traditional kind.
